Matt career started at Metropolis Studios in 2001 where he worked his way from night reception to house engineer. In his time there, he formed close working relationships with a wide variety of producers, working with amongst others, Mick Jones on the Libertines and Babyshambles records, Chris Potter on Richard Ashcroft and The Verve, Mike Crossey on Foals, Tom Elmhirst on Hot Chip and Grace Jones, and Mark Ronson on Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black', for which he was Grammy nominated. Matt went freelance in early 2008.
As well as the obligitory Protools, Matt is a fast Logic user, which he uses on his own tracks and remixes under the 'Rat Scallion' moniker, and as one half of newly formed production / remix partnership 'Fish Out Of Water' with producer Declan Gaffney.
Recently Matt has remixed a number of U2 singles, programmed incidental music for their 360 World tour, recorded and mixed a live session for One Little Indian signed Official Secrets Act, and been recording tracks for new Big Life act Flamboyant Bella.
