Studio Type

The first search filter is ‘Studio Type’. You can select multiple options from this list. For example, you may be looking for both a recording and mixing studio with an SSL console. Select ‘Recording Studio’, ‘Mixing Studio’, and ‘SSL studio’, and the search results will be filtered to match what you specified.

Location

Every country that Miloco represents a recording studio in will be featured in the Location drop down list. Select your desired location and the studios located in that country will be filtered. Note that the ‘Mobile’ option represents studios that can be used in numerous different locations, ie. we bring them to you!

Day Rate

The next tool is a studio rates filter. There are two different components to this search tool. Firstly, pick the type of rate you might be interested in using. For example, if you know your session is going to be fairly lengthy (5 days or more), you could pick the 5-day rate. The standard day rate is should be selected for sessions under 5 days. You can also select hourly rates, lockout rates, and half-day rates. You can then use the rates slider to define the brackets of your budget.

* please note when searching for Mastering Studios the rates search tool is disabled.

Equipment

The Equipment search is designed with more detailed filters that find specific pieces of equipment you may require for your session. Firstly, you can type certain items of gear into the equipment search box and our vast database of gear will be searched. Type multiple gear entries into the box, dividing them with commas, and studios featuring all the gear you specified will be filtered below. You can also use this search box to find generic equipment. For example, you could simply type ‘drum kit’, or ‘upright piano’, without giving specifics on manufacturer and model, and each studio with a drum kit or upright piano will be filtered. Once those studios have been found, you can find out more on the details of the generic equipment you searched for. Lastly, use the tick boxes beneath the search box to specify categories of gear. For example, if you are looking for a Neve console, and would rather not have to search through lists of Neve preamps, you can type ‘Neve’ into the search box and then tick the console box. By doing so, only Neve consoles will be searched for.

Sort By

Lastly, once you have filtered studios specific to your search, you can then sort them either alphabetically or by rate. You can then choose to view them in ascending or descending order.
