Assault & Battery 2 - 'Fully Charged And No Limits'

Assault & Battery 2 Overview

# Assault & Battery 2 is one of the immense studios based in the regenerated Battery complex in North-West London, and is owned by two of the UK's most reputed and influential producers, Flood and Alan Moulder. It is a massive privilege for Miloco to collaborate with Flood and Alan to represent this outstanding tracking room, now standing firm as one the best the industry has to offer.

Assault & Battery 2 provides a recording experience that is totally unique from all of its contemporaries. Not only does the sheer size and space of the studio make it stand-out from most other London tracking rooms, but the design, layout, abundance of natural daylight and massive equipment collection comprising some of the world's most sought-after analogue rarities, settles its status as probably the most irresistible working environment one could hope to bring their recording project to.

# Built on a vision to provide a light, airy and laid-back expanse for recording projects, Assault & Battery 2 is centred around a huge main live area allowing musicians to completely spread out and yet still interact with each other. The studio comprises two additional booths to the main area, both also benefiting from a remarkable amount of space for isolation rooms. The first is a live room capable of producing a remarkable range of colourful drum sounds, and the second houses arguably the most exceptional collection of vintage keyboards in the UK, including including a Roland System 700 and Moog Modular.

In addition to the mouth-watering collection of analogue synths, Assault & Battery 2 also boasts a formidable array of guitars, amps and vintage pedals collected and owned by Flood and Alan over the years and which feature on many of the definitive records they have produced and engineered. This wealth of gear offers clients an unparalleled backline choice of both magnitude and class.

# Furthermore, Assault & Battery 2's re-opening saw the installation of a newly refurbished Neve VR60 console which lines up alongside an Intel 8-core Mac and monitoring system of Quested 412s driven by 4 Chevin a3000 amplifiers with BSS crossovers. An awesome range of vintage microphones, mic amps and outboard are on hand for clients to experiment with, and which complete Assault & Battery 2's staggering arsenal of studio toys.

The vast amount of work put into this re-opening project does not just stop at the studio. Time and money have been invested into overhauling the entire Battery complex, to reaffirm its status as one of the UK's leading commercial studio establishments. Clients at Assault and Battery 2 will savour a freshly revitalised creative environment, shared with the other top-end studios in the building. From the repainting of the building's exterior and re-fitting of kitchen and bathroom areas, right through to carpet replacements and interior paintwork, the Battery complex has undergone an intense refurbishment program in order to raise it to a standard of supreme quality.
