The Garden is our vintage band tracking room, based in Shoreditch. In 2009 it entered an exciting new era when producer Craig Silvey moved in with his exceptional collection of vintage analogue gear, joining a long-standing partnership between Miloco and studio owner, The The's Matt Johnson.
The studio is now centred around Craig's vintage Neve 8026 console - a classic and highly sought-after board dating back to the early 1970s. It has been beautifully maintained to produce the purest sound, and features an incredibly rare 24-channel monitor section, plus a selection of the very finest Neve modules: 1084s, 1076s and a 1066. The desk is complemented by some exceptional Boxer T2 monitors and stacks of esoteric vintage outboard collected by Craig, Matt and Miloco.
The Garden's 470 sq ft live space provides an astonishingly big sound, and is widely considered to have one of the best drum sounds in London. Bands will have a fantastic range of backline at their disposal, including many rare keyboards, guitar and bass amps, plus a large collection of exquisite vintage mics. The end result is simple - The Garden is once again London's ultimate vintage recording studio.
