El Cortijo, situated in the stunning hills and valleys of Andalucia, is ranked amongst the finest residential recording studios Spain has to offer. Here, clients experience total peace and privacy in 5-star living standards, which has attracted high-profile artists and producers from around the world to the studio for many years.
El Cortijo is a seven bedroom villa owned by legendary session drummer, Trevor Morais. This imposing mansion has been designed, built, furnished and decorated with total luxury and comfort in mind. It perfectly combines classic Andalucian architecture and interiors with modern luxuries, and its secluded location in the Ronda valleys with views out towards the Mediterranean Sea, provides clients with an exclusive and secret retreat where they can focus on their music away from disturbances.
The El Cortijo recording studio sits at the heart of the house. In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere throughout the villa, the studio is light, spacious and has breathtaking views of the surroundings. It comprises a large live area measuring 60m sq, which is split between a main recording room, two soundlock booths, a vocal booth and a specialised drum room. The control room measures 40m sq. The rest of the El Cortijo residential is to be simply enjoyed. Seven individually styled double bedrooms, each with their own stunning views of the valleys or sea, serve as the perfect resting places for clients after a day's work in the studio. Elsewhere you will have beautiful living areas to relax in, a kitchen that serves delicious local cuisine, outdoor terraces and a garden with swimming pool, badminton court and several sunbathing spots.
Away from the house you can explore this beautiful Spanish region. The desirable Mediterranean town of Marbella is a 15-minute drive from El Cortijo, whereas slightly further afield are the major Andalucian cities of Seville, Granada, Cadiz and Malaga, the latter of which hosts one of two nearby airports, the other being in Gibraltar.
