The Yard - 'Mixing Inside the Box'
The Yard is located in the buzzing district of Islington, and from 2010 it has been converted into our affordable Mixing in the Box Room. Alternatively you can use the space for programming or editing. It is based around a powerful 32 output Protools HD3 Accel rig with a good selection of plug-ins with monitoring being provided by Boxer T2 speakers, NS10 Studios or Genelec 1031's. The monitoring is controlled by a PreSonus Central Station. Add in a good selection of hardware outboard and some mic amps for recording and the room is well setup for overdubs. In 2007 early 2008, the studio underwent numerous cosmetic improvements including a refurbishment of the booth.
Perhaps the most competitively-priced studio of its kind in North London, it has recently attracted bands and artists as diverse as Coldplay, Barry Adamson, Crystal Castles, The Pistolas and Eight Legs.
